Day 01: Depart Home City for Marrakech

Our exciting Around the World Journey starts with our flight to Marrakech, Morocco.

Day 02: Arrive Marrakech (MOROCCO)

Welcome to Marrakech Airport, where we are met and transferred to our hotel.
Overnight: Hotel Atlas Asni, Marrakech (2 nights)

Day 03: Marrakech

We start our exploration of this exotic city with the most revered attractions in Marrakech. Visit the Medina of Marrakech*, including the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace and the Koutoubia Minaret.   Afternoon we explore the famous Djemaa El Fna square with its surrounding souks and handicraft quarters.  Evening we are treated to the famous Fantasia Show with Moroccan cuisine for dinner. Day 04: Marrakech/Fez (Drive)

Enjoying the rural scenery of Morocco, we drive to the most well known of the Moroccan imperial capitals. Along the way, we view the majestic Middle Atlas Mountains, and stop to see the Berber villages and meet the friendly people.

Day 05: Fez

Fez is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and even today, it reflects the original life and style of its inhabitants. We have a full day tour which will include the medieval Medina of Fez* with its Attarine and Bou Anania Medersas, the Nejjarine Fountain, the Moulay Idriss mausoleum, and the Karaouine Mosque.  Afternoon we visit Fez al Jdid, which is better known as the new Fez. Evening free to enjoy a meal in the culinary hub of Morocco. (B)

Day 06: Fez/Rabat/Casablanca/Istanbul (Drive/Flight) (TÜRKIYE)

Morning we drive to Rabat* for a tour of the capital city of Morocco. We explore this small but unique town by visiting the Royal Palace (Mechouar), Oudaya Kasbah, Mohamed V Mausoleum and Hassan Tower. Depending on the departure flight timing, we may have the opportunity for an optional lunch at one of the local restaurants. Afterward, we drive to Casablanca for our flight to Istanbul, often rated the most beautiful city in the world, where a warm welcome awaits us. Istanbul is a city in Türkiye (Turkey) that straddles Europe and Asia across the Bosporus Strait. Old Constantinople reflects cultural influences of the many empires that once ruled here.

Day 07: Istanbul

We explore the Historic Areas of Istanbul*, visiting the Blue Mosque, built between 1609 and 1616 for Sultan Ahmet I. The inside is decorated with 21,043 tiles from Iznik in a dominant blue color. We also see the Hippodrome, where political, cultural, and sports activities took place during Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman times. Embark on a beautiful cruise on the Bosporus Strait that separates Asia from Europe and connects the Marmara Sea to the Black Sea. From the comforts of our boat, we get the best views of the city and see most of the historical monuments in Istanbul. Afternoon we visit the imposing Haghia Sophia, which marked the apogee of Byzantine Emperor Justinian's reign. (B)

Day 08: Istanbul

Our free day in Istanbul is a treat in itself.  Optional tour to visit the Topkapi Palace and the historical Grand Bazaar. (B)

Day 09: Istanbul/Dubai (Flight) (UNITED ARAB EMIRATES)

A short flight gets us from Istanbul to another vibrant city, Dubai, the most talked of place in the world. We are warmly received as we arrive at the majestic Dubai airport. Using the special Marhaba welcome service, we are whisked through immigration and customs. With a daytime arrival in Dubai, we will have our first glimpse of this fast growing city of skyscrapers, architectural marvels, gardens and shopping malls as we are driven to our hotel. Balance of the day is free. Our hotel, a recipient of the TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence Award, is located within walking distance of lots of activities, including several of the eating and foodie outlets that Dubai is so famous for.
Overnight: Hotel Ramada Jumeirah, Dubai (3 nights) (B)

Day 10: Dubai

We start our tour with the world’s tallest building, ‘Burj Khalifa’. Here we have a bird’s eye view of the city from its observation deck. Next is the Dubai Mall, the world’s largest shopping mall. Here we will have the opportunity to visit the aquarium seeing the exotic wonders of aquatic life. We are then driven to the Dubai Marina, which offers an exclusive environment for living, leisure and business, followed by a trip to Palm Jumeirah, a man-made island that has captured the world’s imagination with its magnificent scale and ingenuity. We will have a photo stop opposite the luxurious Atlantis The Palm Hotel. Our unforgettable tour ends at the Souk Madinat Jumeirah, a colorful and vibrant market in an Arabian city. Afternoon we are treated to an exciting desert safari, where our safari driver will take us through the magnificent sand dunes to experience the thrill of dune bashing. Lots of opportunities to take photos. After sunset we reach our campsite equipped with traditional carpet and pillows. Henna designers are available at the campsite to exhibit their talents. Camels are also available for rides and photo shots. The above activities are free of charge; however, small tips would be greatly appreciated. Evening entertainment begins with belly dance followed by BBQ dinner served under the stars along with authentic Arabic music. Late at night we are transferred to our hotel. (B, D)

Day 11: Dubai (Optional tour of Abu Dhabi)

Day free in Dubai. This incredible city has a lot to offer, including shopping, an optional tour of Abu Dhabi, capital of the UAE, a visit to the Dubai Miracle Garden, a dhow cruise, and more. (B)

Day 12: Dubai/Cochin (Flight) (INDIA)

Transfer to the airport for flight(s) to Cochin in South India. Upon arrival at Cochin, we are welcomed in the traditional way with clasped hands and are transferred to our hotel. Cochin is the capital city of Kerala – God’s Own Country as the slogan goes. We may substitute South India with a North India tour.

Day 13: Cochin

Follow the footprint left centuries ago by the Dutch, Portuguese, British, Arabic and Chinese, and soak up the cultural atmosphere as you stroll along the quaint narrow lanes of Fort Cochin. Along the way, visit the Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, the city’s oldest Protestant church built by the Portuguese in 1510 and the final resting place of Vasco da Gama, and India’s oldest Jewish Synagogue in Jew Town. Later head to the harbor where local fishermen use the old Chinese fishing nets introduced and erected centuries ago. Evening we enjoy Kerala's signature performance of Kathakali, a classical form of dance, drama and music that is more than 400 years old. Day 14: Cochin/Allepey (Backwaters of Kerala) (Boat)

After breakfast we head for Alleppey to embark on your houseboat and start an enchanting cruise along the reputed backwaters of Kerala. Just relax and lay back while you navigate slowly through the tranquil waterways. This is a wonderful opportunity to discover Kerala’s rural lifestyle. Kerala is known for its cashew nuts, coir, rice, pepper crops and coconuts. Your chef on board the houseboat will prepare delicious Kerala specialties.

Day 15: Allepey/Kovolam (Drive)

Disembark at Allepey and say goodbye to the backwaters, then head to Kovalam, a world-renowned coastal spot with three adjacent crescent beaches. Upon arrival, we check in to our hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. You will have a wealth of leisure options on the beach, including sunbathing, swimming, herbal body toning massages, special cultural programs and catamaran cruising.

Day 16: Kovolam/Beijing

Morning continue enjoying the facilities at our beach resort before being transferred to the airport for our overnight flight to Beijing, the capital of China. (B)

Day 17: Arrive Beijing (CHINA)

Upon arrival at Beijing International Airport, we are warmly received and transferred to our hotel.   Rest of the day is free to relax or stroll the streets of this majestic and historical city.

Day 18: Beijing

A full day excursion takes us to the Great Wall*, a united defense system against invasions from the north. Construction continued up to the Ming dynasty (1368–1644), when the Great Wall became the world's largest military structure. Its historic and strategic importance is matched only by its architectural significance. We then head to Chang Ling, the largest of the Imperial Tombs of the Ming and Qing Dynasties*. Constructed for the founding emperors of the Qing Dynasty and their ancestors, the tombs follow the precepts of traditional Chinese geomancy and fengshui theory. They feature rich decoration of stone statues and carvings, as well as tiles with dragon motifs, illustrating the development of the funerary architecture of the Qing Dynasty.  On the way back to the hotel, visit a jade stone workshop and have a photo stop at the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. Day 19: Beijing

Day at leisure or take an optional tour of The Summer Palace, the Tiananmen Square and the many other historical sites in Beijing. (B)

Day 20: Depart Beijing

While still having the opportunity to extend our Round the World Tour to other cities in China, we are transferred to the airport for our flight back home. This will have been a unique journey circumnavigating the globe and visiting some of the leading attractions in the world, all in comfort and style! (B)
