Cultural tour of Indonesia

Revised and Expanded

Book as a party of 3 and above and each participant gets US$ 100/CA$ 138 OFF.

Western New Guinea, is also known as Indonesian Papua is the western half of the island of New Guinea. It has 600 islands of the over 17500 islands in Indonesia. In this vast region, the tribal culture of Toraja and Dani is by far, the major attraction. The Toraja in South Sulawesi number less than half a million today and follow a mixture of beliefs influenced by Aluk to Dolo (Way of the Ancestors). The Dani or Ndanis on the other hand, still follow the culture of Western New Guinea. This 12-day journey is an insight into the lives of these communities. This tour can be combined comfortably with our tours to other Indonesian islands and countries nearby.
