Victoria Falls with Kenya Tanzania Safari 2023

Wild Game Safari of Zambia, Zimbabwe, Kenya & Tanzania

Click here for 2022 tour info

Victoria Falls known as the ‘Smoke that Thunders’ in the local Tonga language is the largest single curtain of falling water in the world. Over 70% of this world marvel can be seen from the Zimbabwe rain forest. In the dry months (October and November) the falls on the Zambian side dry up, giving a unique geographical view, however on the Zimbabwe side, the falls flow all year round. Activities abound and everything from sunset river cruises and bungee jumping to helicopter flips and zip-lining make this an adventurer’s playground. Flight to Nairobi (airfares extra) in Kenya which along with Tanzania are both the most well-known game reserves in the world. Our safari here is an artistically tailored one using professionally equipped 4 x 4 safari vehicles on an intimate discovery. Be it the Big 5 (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant and African buffalo) or seeing many of the over a tenth of the world’s bird species that reside here; the vast variety in vegetation, flora, fauna, the opportunity to take one of the best photos (at times in close proximity of the game) makes this THE safari one cannot afford to miss. Not to forget we’ll also see the Ngorongoro Crater, admire animals at Amboseli with a backdrop of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro, Masai Mara and Serengeti where the action of the Great Migration actually takes place. This is a once-in-a lifetime experience popular for all age groups. Group size  is limited to 7 passangers only with each enjoying window seats as well as a pop-up roof facilitating viewing birds, the rare tree climbing lions and the incredible savannah.

The tour explores the Falls from both the Zambian and Zimbabwean sides ensuring fantastic views from all angles as one is guided through the rainforest and natural parks on each bank of the mighty Zambezi being told the stories of this mythical and unforgettable destination. One can return to the hotel or do some solo exploration of this majestic site.

Afternoon, we will have another experience of the Falls – this time right on the river itself.  Watch the sun slowly set over Africa’s mighty Zambezi River from the luxurious decks of the Zambezi Explorer while also enjoying the views of the river and the islands the boat meanders through. There is game viewing aplenty as wildlife gathers on the riverbanks to quench their thirst. Guests of this bespoke experience need merely relax, enjoy the superlative service and range of canapés and beverages, while gazing onto a sublime setting. (B, Sn)

This is THE place to see from very close proximity free-ranging Elephants. African elephants are known to be much larger in body  size, ears and tusks – and yet are amongst the most “humane” animals. All of the Big Five animals – elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard and rhino – are quite common on this scenic grassland, as well as cheetah, hippo, zebra and giraffe (rounding out the Big Nine!). Masai Mara is the perfect place in Kenya to experience a hot air balloon safari. Be prepared for a scenic drive from Masai Mara to Lake Victoria  with stops to see African villages. Lake Victoria is the African continent's largest lake. It is also the world’s largest tropical lake. It is about the size of Ireland and is most known as being the source of River Nile. The lake, already in existence for centuries, was named by the European explorer John Hanning Speke in 1858 after Queen Victoria of the United Kingdom. The journey today takes us from Masai Mara to the boarder of Isebania where we cross into Tanzania. On arrival at Isebania border It’s time to say goodbye to your safari guide from Kenya. You will be received by our safari guide from Tanzania with a Tanzanian registered vehicle and we proceed to the Speke Bay area of Lake Victoria. Balance of the day is free to enjoy the serenity of Lake Victoria seeing local villages, fishing towns, boats, dhows, small children playing and you can also visit the local market. While technically Masai Mara is part of Serengeti (borders made northern Serengeti as Masai Mara in Kenya) Serengeti in Tanzania experiences the Great Migration several times during the year. It will be difficult to remember how many species of animals, birds and vegetation we will have seen today. Your guide driver will make his best efforts in taking you to areas where one can see as many of the different varieties of animals.
