Cultural tour of Taiwan

Get 10% off for the 2nd person when booked as a party of 2 or more 6 months prior to the tour date.

Officially known as the Republic of China, Taiwan is also known by its Portuguese name, Formosa. Positioned at the convergence of the East and South China Seas, the island’s nearest neighbours are the People's Republic of China, the Philippines and Japan. Taiwan is home to an ethnic Chinese society where Confucianism has had a profound influence. As a result, Taiwanese people place great emphasis on interpersonal relationships, ethics, education and family. These values have laid the foundations that underlie the country's stable society and economic development. This 36,193 sq.km island-country, has a staggeringly diverse wealth of stunning scenery. It has a truly unique natural beauty. The subtropical volcanic island is more than 70% towering, jagged mountains that in some places rise nearly straight out of the Pacific Ocean. Volcanic activity has created numerous natural hot springs and cavernous lava rock coastlines on Taiwan.

In this dynamic and multicultural landscape, Taiwan actively preserves and identifies with its indigenous culture, a phenomenon we will be privileged to witness. A small island where history is in the making.
