Indochina is, as the name sounds, a rich combination of the cultures of the great empires of India and China. The three main countries of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia (with Myanmar) also encompasses the heritage of neighbouring countries like the Philippines, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia. And that is not all, France, for nearly a century colonised the region adding immensely to the local culture. And if that was not all, the Vietnam war brought it's own influences from North America to the region. This is a land so different from it's neighbours and yet very distinctly Indo-Chinese and South East Asian. One remarkable land and culture!
