Day 01: Arrival Ljubljana
Upon arrival in Ljubljana we will be met and transferred to our hotel. The rest of the day is free to relax or to start exploring. This evening, we meet our fellow travelers for the orientation meeting including a welcome drink.

Day 02: Ljubljana/Postojna/Piran (Drive)
In the morning we enjoy a sightseeing tour of Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia. We then travel to the Karst region, where our first stop is at the Postojna Cave, one of the largest cave complexes in Europe. We tour this unique subterranean world by miniature electric train. Afterwards we proceed to a nearby Teran wine producer for a wine and prosciutto tasting. Finally, we drive to Piran on the Slovenian coast.

Day 03: Piran/Portoroz/Goriska Brda/Nova Gorica (Drive)
We see the highlights of Piran this morning, then head to Portoroz, a popular tourist resort. We continue to the hilly region of Goriska Brda and discover the charming town of Smartno, where we will enjoy a delicious dinner at a local tourist farm, before checking into our hotel in Nova Gorica.

Day 04: Nova Gorica/Bled (Drive)
After breakfast we drive along the emerald green Soca River, through Kobarid, featured in Hemmingway's A Farewell to Arms, and stop to visit the First World War Museum. Later, we continue to Bled, stopping at the Boka waterfall view point. Our evening is at leisure.

Day 05: Bled
Our sightseeing tour today shows us the highlights of this charming town on the shores of Lake Bled. We will also visit the imposing Bled Castle, perched on a cliff high above the lake. We then return to the lake shore and taste the famous Bled cream cake. In the afternoon, we travel to Skofja Loka, a beautiful medieval town with a castle that rises above the confluence of the two Sora Rivers, Poljanska Sora and Selska Sora. After our sightseeing tour we visit the Nace homestead and taste some of the local products produced here. (B)
Day 06: Bled/Bohinj/Bled
Today we tour to the other Alpine beauty, Lake Bohinj, and enjoy a relaxing walk along the lake shore and take a cable car to Mount Vogel, from where we can admire the stunning Julian Alps. Before our return to Bled we will visit the Shepherd’s Museum and taste some of the best Slovenian cheeses. Tonight, we celebrate our wonderfully scenic vacation with a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant. (B, D)
Day 07: Depart Bled
After breakfast we are transferred to the airport. Check out time is by 1100 hrs. (B)
