 Three brothers, born in the East African city of Dar es Salaam, (An Arabic word meaning, “Abode of Peace”), who after completing University studies in various countries, met once again. Like many students, also from the “3rd world”, we too felt that there was considerable ignorance amongst the people of the countries where our Alma Maters were. Then came Graduation! Like a lot of people in that phase of life, we too, felt that we were ready to change the world. This utopia was an ambitious one - to change the world for the better. The action plan conceived was for the three of us to get into a vocation in life that would help us play a pivotal and an effective role in bringing about an understanding amongst peoples of our world. Much time and thoughts were put into nourishing this utopia. The first step was to make it grow into a concept and then give language to it. The end result was that it demanded us to put all our efforts in trying to build the bridges that will equip us “to put all efforts in bringing about the appreciation of the various cultures, history, religions and languages of the world’. That these multi-cultural traits be felt as being of our own – that of the One Diverse World belonging to all of us.

On March 08, 1979 in recognition of this auspicious day, Bestway Tours & Safaris was legally born in the tranquil city of Vancouver in Western Canada. This mantra of bridge building we had then, exists today.
