Day 01: Arrive Victoria Falls (ZIMBABWE)

Our adventure begins with our arrival at Victoria Falls (VFA) Airport, where we are met and transferred to our hotel. The Victoria Falls Hotel is the epitome of colonial grandeur, close to one of nature’s greatest spectacles, the Victoria Falls*. The hotel was built in 1904 as accommodation for the workers building the Victoria Falls Bridge. An exclusive steam train trip is also included, as we are staying at the Victoria Falls Hotel, as well as enjoying the famous Victoria Falls Hotel High Tea (HT) on the veranda. A private walkway leads us to the Falls. Evening we get to enjoy a culinary and cultural experience during our Boma Dinner.

Day 02: Victoria Falls

Our guided tour of the majestic Victoria Falls takes us to the best viewpoints of this iconic waterfall. Victoria Falls is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the evening we embark on a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River, for an experience that creates lasting memories as we get to see hippopotamus, crocodiles and other species that congregate on the riverbanks to drink. Day 03 & 04: Victoria Falls/Chobe National Park (BOTSWANA) (Drive)

A 2hours road transfer and we are at the Chobe National Park in Botswana. Chobe Game Lodge is the location of a dream safari. It is the only permanent safari lodge located inside the park. We are spoilt for choices when it comes to game viewing here. In this wild part of Africa, the renowned Big Five - lion, leopard, rhinoceros, elephant, and Cape buffalo - take centre stage. We join the lodge team for daily game activities. All activities, park fees, meals, refreshments, laundry, local spirits and wines (except for premium brands) are included during our stay.

Day 05 & 06: Chobe/Moremi (Flight)

In the morning we embark on a game drive before we take our flight to Camp Moremi, which offers elegant tented accommodation in classic safari tents that are elevated with private viewing decks. Overlooking the Xakanaxa Lagoon, the camp also offers a secluded swimming pool and thatched boma that serves brunch and high tea. The next two days we will be scouting for lion, leopard, cheetah, wild dogs and close encounters with game on the riverbanks during motorboat excursions. The birdlife is prolific. Our stay includes several scheduled activities. Park fees, all meals, refreshments, local spirits and wines (except for premium brands) and laundry are included during our stay.

Day 07 & 08: Moremi/Okavango (Flight)

Today we fly to Camp Okavango, an enchanting camp set on beautiful and remote Nxaragha Island in Botswana’s famed Okavango Delta*. The delta in northwest Botswana comprises permanent marshlands and seasonally flooded plains. It is one of the very few major interior delta systems that do not flow into a sea or ocean, with a wetland system that is almost intact. One of the unique characteristics of the site is that the annual flooding from the River Okavango occurs during the dry season, with the result that the native plants and animals have synchronized their biological cycles with these seasonal rains and floods. It is an exceptional example of the interaction between climatic, hydrological and biological processes. The Okavango Delta is home to some of the world’s most endangered species of large mammal, such as the cheetah, white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros, African wild dog and lion.

Camp Okavango promises an unusual African safari experience in the world’s largest delta with its maze of lagoons, lakes and meandering channels. We will stay in customized tents set on raised teak platforms. We explore the area by traditional mokoro (natural dugout canoe) or motorboat, go fishing for bream and tiger fish or opt for guided nature walks to surrounding islands. All activities, park fees, meals, refreshments, laundry, local spirits and wines (except for premium brands) are included during our stay.

Day 09: Okavango/Maun (Flight)

In the morning we embark on our last game drive before we take our flight to Maun, where our safari comes to an end.  Maun offers flights to African cities like Johannesburg and Cape Town in South Africa; Gaborone and Kasane in Botswana to do further extensions or take your flights back home. (B)
