Day 01: Arrive Maun (BOTSWANA)

We are warmly met by our guide at the Maun Airport and transferred to our lodge accommodation. The name Maun is derived from the San word “maung”, which means “the place of short reeds”. The afternoon is ours to spend at leisure, either relaxing poolside at the lodge or perhaps booking an exciting optional sunset cruise along the Thamalakane River.

Day 02: Maun/Greater Moremi (Flight)

After breakfast, we are transferred to Maun Airport for a short, scenic flight to Moremi Crossing, located near the southern most part of Chief’s Island and situated on a small palm fringed island called Ntswi. The Moremi area is renowned for its concentration of mammals and it is not unusual to see many types of wildlife during just one game drive, including elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and wild dog.  We enjoy the rest of our time here at leisure, with freedom to partake in one of the many optional activities on offer (at no additional expense), including experiencing a half-day or full-day Mokoro trip, a boat cruise, a guided bush walk, or a spectacular game drive.

Day 03: Greater Moremi

Today we enjoy an exciting day of activities in the famous Moremi area, known as one of the most beautiful and varied regions for Botswana safari tours. Moremi is in the central and eastern areas of the Okavango Delta, and offers an unprecedented concentration of wildlife. (B, L, D)

Day 04: Greater Moremi/Greater Chobe (Flight)

This morning, take a flight to Kasane. Once you have arrived, enjoy an appetizing lunch while sailing along the Chobe River on an afternoon boat cruise. During this lovely cruise, watch for hippos, crocodiles and a variety of birds. Afterwards, we are transferred to our lodge.

Day 05: Greater Chobe

Today, we have plenty of time to explore the surrounding wilderness on a game drive, while taking full advantage of cool weather and optimal animal activity. Savour this opportunity to spot a spectacular diversity of wildlife, including herds of elephant, leopard, lion, spotted hyena, giraffe, large buffalo herds, roan antelope, sable and more. The rest of the day is at leisure to relax at the pool side and soak up some sun. (B, L, D)

Day 06: Greater Chobe/Northern Hwange (Drive) (ZIMBABWE)

After our incredible wildlife experience in the Chobe area, we are transferred to our lodge in Hwange National Park, the largest park in Zimbabwe. The next two days are spent exploring this rich wildlife area. In the afternoon, partake in a half-day game drive for more spectacular wildlife sightings.

Day 07: Northern Hwange

Start our morning off with an exciting full-day game drive. During our game drive, enjoy a wholesome lunch while taking in the beautiful flora and fauna of the park. Hwange National Park is one of Africa’s finest havens for wildlife and is home to vast herds of elephant, buffalo and zebra, as well as a very large concentration of giraffe. What’s more, it is home to many predators, endangered species and varied bird life. We end the day with a special safari painting experience, led by a professional artist, guiding you to create your own masterpiece while the sun sets over the horizon. (B, L, D)

Day 08: Northern Hwange/Victoria Falls (Drive)

Continuing our adventure, we depart Botswana and make our way to famous Victoria Falls town. Once settled in at our lodge, we have the rest of the day at leisure. Feel free to take part in one of the many optional activities including a helicopter tour of the majestic Victoria Falls, a dinner cruise, a horse back safari, and more (pre-booking recommended to avoid disappointment. Day 09: Victoria Falls

Today will be one of the highlights of the tour as our guide takes us on a tour of the mighty Victoria Falls, one of the largest waterfalls in the world. This legendary site is also known by the local Kololo tribe as Mosi oa Tunya, or ‘the smoke that thunders’. In the afternoon, we partake in a unique potjiekos traditional food experience before cruising down the mighty Zambezi River at sunset, basking in the afterglow of the day. Then, return to indulge in your mouthwatering potjie creation. (B, D)

Day 10: Depart Victoria Falls

After a delicious breakfast, our Botswana safari tour comes to an end with a transfer to Victoria Falls Airport in time for our departure flight. Or choose to extend your tour to a neighbouring country! (B)
