Day 01: Windhoek/Namib Desert (Drive)
Depart Windhoek midday. Drive through cattle farm land, hilly landscapes with splendid views of fertile valleys. Enjoy an undisturbed view from one of the steepest passes in Namibia! Stop at the small settlement of Solitaire, before reaching our beautifully private nature reserve which hosts a variety of desert adapted game like Springbok, ostrich, earth wolf, bat-eared fox and many more.

Day 02: Namib Desert/Sossusvlei (Drive)
Destination - Sossusvlei a fascinating world of ecology and unearthly geography. The first stop is at Dune 45. Climb one of the dunes – there are plenty – and be overwhelmed by the sight of the dynamic and living desert! Breakfast served under one of the shady camel thorn trees. Walk over patches of dunes until we reach the ‘Dead Vlei’. Visit the rugged Sesriem Canyon. Afternoon join a guided nature drive to the ‘marble mountain’ or relax and enjoy a spectacular sunset. Day 03: Namib Desert/Swakopmund (Drive)
Drive via the Gaub & Kuiseb Passes passing Namibia’s largest Nature Reserve, the Namib Naukluft Park, and an internationally renowned desert research station at Gobabeb (not accessible to the public). Continue to Walvis Bay, Namibia’s largest commercial port, before arriving Swakopmund.

Day 04: Swakopmund
Day free. Explore the quaint town of Swakopmund. Many optional activities are available including quad biking, sand boarding, scenic flights over the Skeleton coast, cruising Walvis Bay or optional tours to the many museums, aquarium, or the crystal gallery. (B, D)
Day 05: Swakopmund/Damaraland (Drive)
Drive on the salt road past salt pans and see an array of bird life. Damaraland is one of the most scenic areas in Namibia. Visit Twyfelfontein, a site of ancient rock engravings and the Organ Pipes, a distinctive series of dolerite pillars that have been exposed by erosion.

Day 06: Damaraland
Morning enjoy Twefelfontein. Afternoon, join a sun downer drive in the Aba Huab River and encounter the desert dwelling elephants (seasonal). These elephants are not a distinct species but are African bush elephants that have made their homes in the Namib and Sahara deserts. They were once more widespread in Africa, but are currently found only in Namibia and Mali. (B, L, D)
Day 07: Damaraland/Etosha National Park (Drive)
Visit a Damara village and learn about the culture and the tradition of this half-nomadic people. Continue via the small town of Outjo before reaching Etosha National Park early afternoon. We undertake our first game drive.

Day 08: Etosha National Park
Full day in the Etosha exploring waterholes along this enormous saltpan. There are close to 114 species of mammals including the black faced impala and the threatened black and white rhinos. The Etosha Pan (a flat calcrete depression), contains water only after very good rains & sometimes only for a few days, but is enough to stimulate the growth of blue green algae which lures thousands of flamingos. Day 09: Etosha National Park
Enjoy another full day exploring this world famous National Park. Our guide will introduce us to the complex subject of managing such an enormous reserve, that’s considered to be one of the world’s great wildlife sanctuaries. (B, D)
Day 10: Etosha National Park/Depart Windhoek
Our Namibian experience comes to an end as we drive back to Windhoek via Okahandja where we visit a local handicraft market. Arrival Windhoek late afternoon. (B)
