Day 01: Arrive Bogota
Welcome to Colombia! We are met at the Bogota Airport and transferred to our hotel. Check in time starts from 1500 hrs. The rest of the day is free to sample the city’s cultural highlights.

Day 02: Bogota
This morning, we visit Bogota´s market place and take in the sites and sounds of local people going about their daily lives. We may want to take a break at one of the simple but delicious food stands to sample the typical dishes of the region. Visit La Candelaria, a historic neighborhood in downtown Bogotá. It is the equivalent of the Old City in other cities. Admire the architecture of the old houses, churches and buildings in Spanish Colonial and Baroque styles. This neighbourhood houses several universities, libraries and museums. Walk across the main square Simon Bolivar, along the government buildings, and reach the famous Gold Museum, which holds the world’s largest collection of pre-Hispanic gold art. We also visit Fernando Botero Museum, which focuses on the well-known Colombian painter and sculptor. (B)
Day 03: Bogota
Today we drive to the fertile plateau Zipaquirá to visit the famous underground salt cathedral, a monumental architectural masterpiece built by the miners' own hands. Inside we find crosses, angels and the Madonna statue. In addition to the main cathedral, there are small chapels and Stations of the Cross. The 14 stations are interconnected with labyrinthine tunnels. Next, we will be driving up over 3000 m (9840 ft) to the entrance of the legendary lagoon of Guatavita. From here, take a half hour walk to the breathtaking lagoon. Then in the afternoon, we drive on a non-paved road to reach the house of local farmers, where we will be having lunch with local families. (B, L)
Day 04: Bogota/Armenia (Flight)
Transfer to the airport and take a flight to Armenia (cost not included). We will be met and transferred to our hotel. In the afternoon, be immersed into the world of coffee. Experience seven stations, smelling, feeling, trying and plucking the beans, as well as learning about the drying and roasting. An accompanying coffee specialist will lead us through the process. At the end, a personal mixed coffee is waiting for each of us.

Day 05: Armenia/Coffee Triangle/Armenia
Today drive through the enchanting scenery of the coffee area in the Cocora valley. This area is decorated with a variety of wax palms, which extend up to 60 meters. In the afternoon, visit Salento, an idyllic village. Finally, journey to Filandia. This place is situated on a hill and its viewpoint offers magnificent views of the Cordillera. On a clear day, see the snow-capped peaks of the Nevados National Park in the distance. (B)
Day 06: Armenia/Bogota (Flight)/Cartagena (Flight)
In the morning, we are transferred to the airport for flights to Cartagena via Bogota (cost not included). Outside the old town, the modern age has developed. Upstream island chains and beaches make the city a popular tourist destination.

Day 07: Cartagena
Today’s city tour includes the monastery of La Popa. The monastery is situated on the highest mountain in the city. Next is a photo-stop at Fort San Felipe, whose mighty fortress dominates the city's image. From there continue into the colonial old town of Cartagena. We’ll take a stroll through the city and its magnificent mansions, narrow alleys and churches. Finally, we visit the Jesuit church and its monastery of San Pedro Claver. (B)
Day 08: Depart Cartagena
Check out by 1100 hrs. After our riveting journey through Colombia, we are transferred to the airport for our departure flight. (B)
