This 8-day journey explores cultural highlights like Zagreb, the cascading waterfalls of Plitvice Lakes, the grandeur of Diocletian’s Palace in Split, and, as a bonus, Slovenia’s enchanting Lake Bled.

Welcome to beautiful Zagreb, Croatia’s capital city, which offers a history dating back to the Roman times. We are met and transferred to our hotel with the rest of the day at leisure. In the evening, we are treated to a welcome dinner.

Our morning sightseeing tour includes views of the historic Upper Town, St. Mark’s Church, St. Catherine’s Church, the Cathedral (inside visit included), a monumental Gothic building dating back to the 13th century, the Parliament, and the Government Palace. Rest of the day is at leisure, with a chance to explore this stunning city on our own. (B)
After breakfast, journey to Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, for a walking tour of its charming old city center. Highlights include the Baroque Town Hall, dating back to 1718, and Robba's Fountain, a masterpiece inspired by Roman baroque fountains that symbolizes the city’s rivers. Stroll across the iconic Three Bridges, a unique architectural feature that seamlessly blends historic charm with modern functionality. Next, visit the picturesque open-air Central Market, a hub of local culture and flavors. From there, continue to Bled, renowned for its breathtaking alpine lake and medieval castle perched atop a cliff, offering unparalleled views.

Nestled amidst towering Alpine peaks, Lake Bled has captivated travelers since the mid-19th century. Over time, the lake’s allure inspired the development of a quaint resort town featuring charming hotels, villas, and restaurants, making it a vibrant all-seasons destination. A sightseeing tour showcases the enchanting lakeside town and offers breathtaking views of Bled Castle (entry included), a medieval fortress dramatically perched atop a cliff overlooking the lake. The rest of the day is yours to explore. (B)
The journey continues to Postojna, home to one of Europe’s largest and most fascinating cave systems. Explore this subterranean marvel aboard a miniature electric train, venturing deep into its awe-inspiring limestone formations. Afterward, head to the coast for a stop in Opatija, once a glamorous 19th-century resort favored by the Habsburg elite. Enjoy a walking tour through its streets, lined with elegant villas and rich in history. Following some leisure time, the adventure proceeds to the natural wonder of Plitvice Lakes.

After breakfast, embark on a walking tour of the lower lakes, a photographer’s dream. Marvel at the stunning natural beauty of this UNESCO-listed site, where sixteen terraced lakes cascade into one another, framed by lush forests and rugged mountains. After soaking in the breathtaking views, we journey onward to Split for our overnight stay.

In the morning, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Split's historic inner city, built around Diocletian’s Palace (entry included), a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage site dating back to the 4th century. This remarkable palace was constructed as a retirement residence for the Roman Emperor Diocletian and stands as one of the most complete remains of a Roman palace in the world. Explore its iconic Peristyle courtyard, the heart of the palace, and Jupiter’s Temple, dedicated to the Roman god and later repurposed as a Christian baptistery.
Also, visit the Cathedral of St. Domnius, originally built as Diocletian’s mausoleum in the 7th century, making it one of the oldest Catholic cathedrals still in use in its original structure. The rest of the day is yours to explore Split’s charming streets, dotted with Renaissance and Gothic architecture, or relax by the beach, soaking in the Adriatic’s beauty. (B)
