Day 01: Arrive Amman
Ahlan Wasahlan (Welcome in Arabic). Upon arrival at Amman International Airport, we are warmly welcomed and transferred to our hotel. Check in starts from 4:00 PM.

Day 02: Amman/Jerash/Amman (Drive)
After breakfast, we take a morning tour of Jordan’s capital, visiting the archaeological site known as the Citadel, the impressive Roman Theatre, and some of the city’s vibrant souks. We then head to West Amman, where we walk along atmospheric Rainbow Street, offering a wealth of dining options, cafes and quirky shops. In the afternoon, we explore the ancient city of Jerash, generally acknowledged to be one of the best-preserved Roman provincial towns in the world. The Gerasa of antiquity features colonnaded streets, temples, spacious public squares, baths, and the impressive South Theatre, large enough to seaet more than 3,000 spectators. (B)
Day 03: Amman/Desert Castles/Dead Sea (Drive)
Early this morning, we head out on our exploration of Jordan’s Desert Castles, beautiful examples of early Islamic art and architecture. The imposing yet fascinating structures of Qasr Al-Mushatta, Qasr A-Kharrana, Qasr A-Tuba, Qasr Al-Hallabat and Qasr Amra* date back 1,300 years, standing testament to this rich era in Jordan’s history. We also visit the black basalt fort at Azraq, headquarters of Lawrence of Arabia during the Arab Revolt. Next, journey down to the lowest land elevation on Earth and experience floating in the waters of the Dead Sea. If we are taking this tour between April and September, we then head to the Baptism Site “Bethany Beyond the Jordan” (Al-Maghtas)* and explore the archaeological site and churches of Saint John the Baptist near the river. Situated in a pristine natural environment, the site is believed to be the location where Jesus of Nazareth was baptized by John the Baptist. It features Roman and Byzantine remains, including churches and chapels, a monastery, caves that have been used by hermits and pools in which baptisms took place. The site is a Christian place of pilgrimage. We then drive back to the Dead Sea for our overnight. Balnce of the day is free to enjoy the many attractions the Dead Sea has to offer.

Day 04: Dead Sea/Umm al Rassas/Madaba/Mt. Nebo/Kerak/Petra (Drive)
The Dead Sea is actually a lake named so because of its high salinity, which makes it inhospitable to aquatic life. The waters and mud of the Red Sea are believed to have rejuvenating properties, with the mud being featured in many skincare products! Morning is free to relax. In the late morning, we travel along the 5,000-year-old King's Highway, one of the most memorable journeys in the Holy Land. We will see some of the finest Byzantine church mosaics at Umm al Rassas*, followed by a visit to Madaba, a city known for its spectacular mosaics, including the famous 6th century mosaic which is the oldest known map of the Holy Land. We then head to Mount Nebo, the alleged burial site of Moses that overlooks the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley. Afterwards, drive through the magnificent scenery of Wadi Mujib. Arrive at Petra and check in to our hotel.

Day 05: Petra/Wadi Rum (Drive)
This morning, we explore the pink city of Petra*, an ancient Nabatean site set deep inside a narrow desert gorge. Jordan’s most famous site dates back to fourth century B.C., and is absolutely stunning in its scale. Using an early form of the rock-cut architecture technique, some buildings here were literally carved out of the surrounding stone. At its peak, this ancient city supported more than 20,000 inhabitants. We will walk through a long chasm to Petra's most dramatic monument, the Treasury. Next, explore the Roman Theater, the Courts, Qasr Bint Pharaoun, the Temple of the Winged Lion and the Monastery, with a break for optional lunch. After our breathtaking exploration of Jordan’s most famous monuments, we continue our drive to Wadi Rum*, famous for its haunting desert landscapes and fascinating Bedouin culture. The scenery at this UNESCO World Heritage Site is so otherworldly that it has been used to represent other planets in films like The Martian, multiple Star Wars movies and, most recently, Dune. Here, we embark on a 2-hour 4x4 jeep safari to explore the desert. We check into our desert camp, with time to relax and observe how our traditional Bedouin meal is made. After dinner, the evening is free to enjoy the unparalleled starlit sky.

Day 06: Wadi Rum/Aqaba (Drive)
Wake up early on your own to enjoy Wadi Rum’s magical sunrise. After breakfast, we drive to Aqaba, Jordan’s port city on the coast of the Red Sea. Inhabited since 4,000 B.C., it's home to the Islamic-era Aqaba Fort. Its beach resorts are popular for windsurfing and other water sports, and the area is a top destination for scuba divers, with notable dive sites including the Yamanieh coral reef in the Aqaba Marine Park, south of the city. After a brief tour of Aqaba, we are free to enjoy our time at this beautiful port.

Day 07: Aqaba/Amman (Drive)
After breakfast, we are transferred overland back to Amman. Our evening is free wander this unique city’s streets one more time. (B)
Day 08: Depart Amman
After a fascinating visit of the land where it all began, we bid farewell to Jordan as we are transferred to the airport for our departure flight. Check out time is by 10:00AM.
