As we drive, we’ll be captivated by the fascinating architecture surrounding us, with new structures constantly being built to be bigger and better. The rest of the day is free.

Our Dubai exploration begins at the Jumeirah Mosque, the city's most popular mosque. After visiting this beautiful site, we continue with photo stops at the Burj Al Arab, one of the world’s most luxurious hotels, and the magnificent Burj Khalifa. Then at The Palm, Dubai’s man-made island shaped like a palm tree, we explore the lost city of Atlantis and visit one of the world’s largest aquariums. Drive past the royal palaces of Dubai’s ruling family before visiting Al Fahidi Fort, built in 1787 and now home to the Dubai Museum. Our morning ends with a visit to the traditional Spice and Gold souks.

After some rest at our hotel, we embark on a thrilling desert safari. We’ll experience the beauty and tranquility of the Arabian Desert on this guided adventure. At the entry point, we deflate the tires for better traction, then navigate the stunning sandy trails in well-maintained 4x4 vehicles, enjoying the excitement of dune bashing. The safari concludes at a traditional camp where we are welcomed with Arabian coffee and dates. After a camel ride, we’ll enjoy a delicious BBQ dinner before returning to our hotel. (B, D)

A two-hour drive gets us to Abu Dhabi, capital of the UAE. Our first stop is the renowned Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, which accommodates around 41,000 worshippers. Here we’ll explore the stunning white marble arcades and courtyards, and as we visit the prayer room, we’ll learn about the mosque’s design and significance. The complex is larger than the size of four football fields!

Next, we head to Yas Island and have photo opportunities outside Yas Marina Circuit and Ferrari World, followed by a look at the surreal cultural buildings emerging on Saadiyat Island. We’ll pass Qasr Al Hosn, the former home of Abu Dhabi’s royal family, before enjoying some free time at the Abu Dhabi Mall.

Then we’ll see the beautiful Corniche and the majestic Emirates Palace Hotel, situated on a pristine private beach and epitomizing luxury and Arabian hospitality. If time permits, we can visit the Louvre Museum (entrance fees not included), which highlights the dynamic nature of the contemporary Arab world while celebrating the region’s vibrant multicultural heritage. The museum, coordinated by Agence France-Muséums, displays artworks from 17 of France’s most esteemed cultural institutions.

After this incredible day, we’ll drive back to our hotel in Dubai. (B)
