Day 01: Arrival Bandar Seri Begawan (BRUNEI)

Meet and greet at Brunei International Airport and transfer to hotel. Check-in starts from 1400 hrs.

Overnight: Radisson Hotel, Brunei (2 nights)

Day 02: Bandar Seri Begawan

Ceremonial stone boat at the Omir Ali Saifuddin Mosque, Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei Darussalam

Breakfast at hotel. Morning, we depart for approximately 6 hrs Brunei City Tour and Malay Water village Tour. Highlights include visits to the Morning Market, Brunei Museum, Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque and photo stop at the entrance of the biggest residential palace in the World – Istana Nurul Iman which is the official residence of His Majesty The Sultan of Negara Brunei Darussalam. Lunch at a local restaurant included. After lunch, continue with visit to the Royal Regalia Museum that was built in 1992 to commemorate the Silver Jubilee of His Majesty’s The Sultan of Brunei accession to the throne in 1967. The museum houses a collection of royal paraphernalia and also an exhibition on the Constitution of the nation. After that, proceed on a scenic boat ride around the biggest Malay Water Village in the world and a visit to a local home where you can witness the daily livelihood of a typical villagers living in houses on stilts on Brunei River. Local refreshments will be served. Visit Yayasan Shopping Complex before transfer back to your hotel. (B, L)

Note: Non-Muslims are not allowed to enter the mosques on Thursdays & Fridays or during religious ceremonies and the tour will only include tour of the garden area of the two mosques during such days/events.

Day 03: Brunei/Miri (Drive)/Mulu (Flight) (MALAYSIA)

Early breakfast. Overland to Miri airport passing through almost the entire length of this tiny country. Other major towns passed will be that of Seria and Kuala Beliat where petroleum and gas exploration work can still be seen in and around the area. Upon arrival in Miri airport, take a flight straight to Mulu National Park – Malaysia’s 2nd World Heritage Site and check-in at the resort.

Day 04: Mulu/Kota Kinabalu (Flight)

Travel by open longboat through rapids to visit Clearwater Cave and Winds Cave. Explore King’s Chamber at Wind Cave before witnessing South-East Asia longest underground river system at Clearwater Cave. Take a dip at Clearwater resurgent before departure to Mulu airport to board a flight to Kota Kinabalu via Miri. Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu International airport, transfer to hotel.

Day 05: Kota Kinabalu/Kinabalu Park (Drive)

Depart from the hotel. Drive along the ridges of the Crocker Range to the Kinabalu Park, the first World Heritage Site of Malaysia. Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in Southeast Asia, dominates the surrounding countryside. Along the highway, stop at Nabalu Market for handicrafts and meet the indigenous Dusun people and then follow by another interesting natural wonder, the Poring Hot, named after the tall bamboo plant that is abundant in that area, is a natural spring wonder where visitors can have an invigorating dip in the hot sulphur springs and go for the 37m high canopy walk for a better appreciation of the tropical rainforest. Lunch at local restaurant. After lunch, return to the 1,500 metre high Kinabalu Park Headquarter to check in.

Day 06: Kinabalu Park/Kota Kinabalu (Drive)

Proceed for jungle walk along one of the more famous trail and later continue with a guided Mountain Garden walk. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant before return to Kota Kinabalu.

Day 07: Kota Kinabalu/Sandakan (Flight)/Selingan Turtle Island

Early breakfast. Transfer to Kota Kinabalu International airport for our flight departure to Sandakan. Upon arrival in Sandakan, and transfer to the jetty. At 0930hrs, boat departs to Turtle Island. It takes about an hour to reach Selingan Turtle Island, which lies 40km north of Sandakan in the Sulu Sea off Sabah's east coast. Selingan Turtle Island is the main nesting area for the Green Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles. Lunch, free at leisure ideal for relaxing, swimming and snorkeling. After dinner, prepare to wait for the Park Ranger to inform of the sighting of a turtle laying eggs. Witness the collecting of eggs from the nesting site, planting them in the hatchery and see baby turtles scrambling to the open sea upon released on the shore.

Overnight: Selingan Turtle Island Chalet (1 night) (B, L, D)

Day 08: Selingan Turtle Island/Sepilok/Sukau (Drive)

After breakfast depart at 0700hrs, return to Sandakan. Proceed to the world famous Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre situated in the Kabili-Sepilok Forest Reserve. Watch the video show documentary rehabilitation at orphaned Orang Utan before taking a boardwalk through the lowland rainforest to view the feeding platform. Witness the feeding of Orang Utan at 1000 hrs then proceed to the Orang Utan Nursery. Later, continue to the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre, the Centre that managed to improve the living condition of the rescued sun bear and released their natural behaviors in the 2.5ha enclosed forest. 1115hrs, depart Sepilok Centre transfer to jetty in Sandakan for schedule boat depart at 1200hrs, take an hour of boat cruise up to the Lower Kinabatangan River Sanctuary where you will take your lunch at Abai Jungle Restaurant. This is a wonderful journey of discovery which starts from the waters of Sulu Sea of Sandakan town through a magnificent scenery of the Mangrove Forest. After lunch, cruise up river to Sukau village in search of primates especially the Endemic Proboscis Monkeys, birds and other wildlife. Arrive Sukau, check in at the lodge. Late afternoon, enjoy a river cruise to Menanggul River, a small tributary of the Kinabatangan. Return lodge for dinner.

Day 09: Sukau

Wake up to the calls of gibbons and hornbills. Early morning, take a river trip to the Ox-Bow Lake to observe wildlife and experience the early morning river ambience of the longest river in Sabah. Return to the lodge for breakfast. After lunch, proceed to Gomantong Caves, home of millions bats and swiftlets. Explore the biggest bird’s nest cave in Sabah and the best-managed edible bird’s nest.   Dinner at a ocal restaurant. (B, L, D)

Day 10: Sukau/Sandakan (Drive)/Kota Kinabalu (Flight)

After breakfast, take a boat ride back to Sandakan. Upon arrival at jetty, transfer for lunch at a local restaurant. Proceed for a tour of Sandakan city includes fishing village of Kampung Buli Sim Sim, where the houses are built on stilts, visit to the biggest Central Market located at the heart of Sandakan.  Last stop will be at Puh Jih Syh Chinese Buddhist Temple, which is located at 300m above sea level offers a panoramic view of Sandakan. After city tour drop at airport flight to Kota Kinabalu. Meet & transfer to hotel.

Day 11: Depart Kota Kinabalu

After breakfast, transfer to Kota Kinabalu International Airport for your departure flight (B)
