Day 01: Arrive Nairobi (KENYA)
KARIBU – Swahili for welcome! Upon completing immigration and customs at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), our team member will meet you at the designated gate, holding a personalized welcome sign. You will be transferred to Boma Hotel. Hotel rooms available from 1400 hours giving us sufficient time to rest, relax and change before joining the other participants for dinner and a get to know.

Day 02: Nairobi/Amboseli National Park (Drive 240 Kms)
After breakfast, we visit Nairobi National Park Nairobi National Park which was established in 1946. It is fenced on three sides, whereas the open southern boundary allows migrating wildlife to move between the park and the adjacent Kitengela plains. During the dry season this is a place where many of the Herbivores gather. Here we have our first 3 hours game safari followed by a visit to the Daphne Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage. Afternoon, we set off east for the extraordinary Amboseli National Park.

Day 03: Amboseli National Park
Explore Amboseli a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a full day of game viewing. Amboseli is known for its huge elephant bulls with their magnificent tusks. Nothing like getting photos of a Masai next to an elephant with the back drop of the world’s highest free-standing Mount Kilimanjaro (height 5895m/19342 feet). Kilimanjaro is not part of any mountain range as it is a solitary peak. This will be your treat photograph of this incredible safari. Though Kilimanjaro is located in Tanzania, the viewing from Amboseli is out of this work. (B, L, D)
Day 04: Amboseli/Arusha (Drive 270 Kms) (TANZANIA) via Namanga Border
After a leisurely breakfast, we journey south towards Arusha via the Kenya –Tanzania border at Namanga. During the border formalities enjoy seeing Africa markets at the border and chatting with the locals. Here we get a new team of Tanzanian safari experts who take over our exploration of the land they know best. We then continue to Arusha – the gateway to the game parks of Northern Tanzania. Arusha is located at the exact centre between Cairo and Cape Town – African continents’ northern and southern tips.

Day 05: Arusha/Tarangire National Park, Tarangire (Drive 150 Kms)
After breakfast we have a full day day safari at the intriguing Tarangire National Park. The breath-taking views of the Masai Steppe and the mountains to the south add an additional uniqueness to Tarangire. The park is also known for its huge elephant herds and baobab trees and is a natural halting station during the annual migratory cycle.

Day 06: Tarangire National Park/Lake Manyara National Park/Karatu (Drive 130 Kms)
Another exciting day ahead as drive towards the well-known Lake Manyara National Park. The spectacular reserve is located at the north-western corner of Lake Manyara, a hallow soda lake, which lies at the foot of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. Enjoy a scenic drive which is not only well known for its flamingos but also for the elusive tree climbing lions.

Day 07: Excursion to Lake Manyara
After breakfast, we set out to experience the cultural diversity of Mto-wa-Mbu, starting at the market and visiting a Chagga family producing banana beer and passing by many different farms. On the way, your guide will introduce you to the various fruits and vegetables growing in the area and explain the irrigation system that sustains local crops. After having a delicious, home-cooked meal in a local Mama’s home where we also enjoy a visit of the Maasai Boma for the cultural encounter of a life time. The Maasai people are semi-nomadic herders, who choose to live a traditional lifestyle and are known for their distinctive traditional attire. Late afternoon, we embark on a walking tour to Lake Papyrus. Here we will view this magnificent lake filled with abundant birdlife and hippos. If time permits, we can do some light trekking up to the waterfall. From here you will view the lake from the top of the Rift valley wall; then onto the banana plantation and rice field, ending the tour with a local village visit. (B, L, D)
Day 08: Karatu/Ngorongoro/Serengeti National Park (Drive 300 Kms)
Early morning as the game has just started their search and killing for the day’s meal. We are now in the world renowned Ngorongoro Crater. For many, this wildlife spectacle is the pinnacle of their safari experience. The Ngorongoro Crater boasts all the Big Five including a small population of endangered black rhino. After a picnic lunch, we head towards the Serengeti through the stunning Southern Plains. This is the area that the Serengeti is best known for – the endless, undulating grass savannah with rocky outcrops that serve as isolated wildlife refuges.

Day 09: Serengeti National Park (Seronera)
A full day at the best of the game parks in the world – Serengeti. We will centre around the Seronera area of the Serengeti. The Serengeti is divided into three main areas: Seronera is the most central and accessible region and this is where the Park HQ is based, as well as most of the larger lodges and communal campsites. This part of the Serengeti is characterised by open plains of grassland, packed with animals. The Seronera River is the lifeblood of the Serengeti and this area is renowned for great game viewing all year round. It is also particularly good for lion and cheetah sightings, as well as the most elusive of all big cats, the leopard. (B, L, D)
Day 10: Serengeti National Park (Seronera)
We have our third day exploring the Serengeti National Park and each day is better than the previous one. With lunch boxes we concentrate in the Seronera region of Serengeti scanning the endless plains, spotting many more animals and truly realizing just why this national park is so remarkable. Biological researchers have found that Serengeti National Park still has the highest number of globally threatened animal species like Black Rhinos, Wild dogs, Cheetahs and Elephants. We hope to see some if not all of the species. Late afternoon we drive back to our lodge for overnight. (B, L, D)
Day 11: Serengeti National Park/Lake Victoria (Drive 250 Kms)
After breakfast we make our way to Lake Victoria – the largest lake in Africa. It borders with all of the 3 East African countries of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania We pass through the villages of the Sukuma tribe, who grow ground nuts, sorghum and cassava as well as keeping livestock. Life carries on here simply as it has done for ages, but with a few poignant reminders of the 20th century. Leisure time ideal to do some bird walking. Lake Victoria boasts a diverse and significant bird population of over 154 species in the lake's vicinity, including a variety of wading birds, cormorants, and other species that utilize the lake and surrounding wetlands.

Day 12: Lake Victoria/Masai Mara (KENYA) (Drive 270 Kms)
This morning we have the opportunity to take part in a boat excursion to one of the local fishing villages, before we bid Lake Victoria farewell and continue our journey northwards across the border into Kenya. Here we head to the Masai Mara, the traditional land of the Maasai people, who are permitted to graze their cattle in this area. The Masai Mara covers an area that includes the riverine forests along the banks of the Mara and Talek Rivers, acacia forests and the open plains of the savannah. Once again, we change to local experts for the Kenya portion so have a change of guide and vehicle at the border.

Day 13: Masai Mara National Reserve
We spend the whole day game viewing in the world famous Masai Mara National Park. Here the various habitats are home to a great variety of game including lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, wildebeest (gnu), giraffe, buffalo, jackal, topi, gazelle, impala and elephant. Hippopotamus and crocodile are also plentiful in the rivers and the bird life is very abundant. Masai Mara National Reserve is home to a vast population of wildlife, estimated to be around 5.2 million wild mammals within the 1,510 km2 area. This translates to about 3,400 animals per square kilometer. Masai Mara is renowned for its excellent year-round game viewing opportunities, particularly during the Great Wildebeest Migration. Day 14: Masai Mara/Nairobi (Drive 280 Kms)
After an unforgettable stay at Masai Mara we head off towards Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. We visit the Giraffe Centre and Karen Blixen Museum. It is the beautiful and historic farmhouse where Karen Blixen, author of, “Out Of Africa” lived between 1917 and 1931 until she left Kenya after a series of personal tragedies. Late afternoon we arrive at our hotel. Time permitting, we visit the Kazuri Beads Centre and workshop for those interested in shopping. Kazuri means "small and beautiful" in Swahili and it describes each striking ceramic bead which is shaped by hand by the women employed at the Kazuri workshop. Nairobi is a cosmopolitan, lively and interesting city. Its central business district is nicely compact and it is therefore a great place to tune into modern urban African life. Later in the afternoon, we head to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 15: Depart Nairobi
